How milk helps boost bone health and helps prevent osteoporosis, brain boosting foods also work in the same manner. Foods like green leafy vegetables, whole grains, fruits, nuts, beans, fish, eggs and lean meat help you keep your brain healthy.

It is also important to stay hydrated as dehydration is said to have a negative impact on your brain. Avoid the consumption of excessive alcohol as it can have a negative impact on your brain.

  • Get adequate sleep
Just like how your cell phone gets drained over a period of time and needs to be recharged so that it can work effectively, your body also tends to get drained at the end of the day and sleep is your body’s way of recharging itself which is why it is important to ensure that your body gets adequate sleep on a daily basis.

Every adult needs to sleep for at least 9 hours daily. Inadequate sleep can take a toll your brain and have a negative impact on your overall brain and the same rule applies in case of excessive sleep, so make sure you know where to draw the line.
